DMedCARD™ (Dynamic Med Smart Card)

This conveniently portable device has an embedded microchip with two purposes; authentication and information storage. Through a verification process this chip provides secure access to accurate information about the card’s owner. The DMedCard has a 64kb capacity and holds demographic information including medical conditions, allergies, prescriptions, special directives, and insurance information, in addition to this verification information for proof positive identification. DMedCard provides unmatched stability, security, and data storage capabilities exceeding the standards set by HIPAA.
Dr. John Butterworth, our Chief Technology Officer, who is an expert in HIPAA laws and SmartCard technology is the brain behind our Dynamic Med Assistant (DMA). The DMA involves storage of patient data in HIPAA compliant format and its access using smartcards with biometric technology. (Smartcards are like Visa/Master cards with smart chips embedded in it). Smartcards have a storage capacity of 64 kilobytes in them. Dr. Butterworth is also a consultant to HITACHI, Japan, producer of Smartcards for the Japanese and European markets.

Dr. Butterworth along with HITACHI, Japan has designed the “Batuta Data Center” and smartcard and biometric reader (devices) for the local doctors, clinics and hospitals. Our first implementation called “Alpha System” has been completed in our Data Center in Chicago.
